Gluten Free Snacks - Ian's Popcorn Turkey Corn Dogs
Submitted by JeBas on Wed, 01/07/2009 - 17:16.
Like every parent, I'm trying to find things that my kids will eat. My youngest decided that she liked the mini corn dogs, so I thought I would try Ian's Popcorn Turkey Corn Dogs.
Though I have generally liked Ian's Natural Food products, this gluten free offering was a complete miss. The corn breading around the dog was dry and crumbley. It fell off of the dog as I bit into it, and it chewed like sand. The turkey dog that was used also had no real flavor at all.
Neither of my kids liked these corn dogs. The one that has a problem with gluten, ate one, asked for ketchup, and then ate half of another one. The child without a gluten problem didn't finish the first one.
These will not be bought again.
Gluten Free Cookies - Ian's Chocolate Chip Cookie Buttons
Submitted by JeBas on Fri, 11/07/2008 - 10:00.I know that I reviewed Ian's cinnamon cookie buttons last Friday, but these are also really good. They don't have the harsh bite of the cinnamon, and they have chocolate chips. It has been difficult keeping my hands out of these cookies, so the kids have them.
The chocolate chip cookies have the same texture as the cinnamon buttons. This are a small crisp cookie, and comes in an individually wrapped pouch. It is easy to throw them into the lunch box or use as an after school snack.
This is something I would buy again, for myself.
Review - Gluten Free Cookies - Ian's Wheat Free Gluten Free Crunchy Cinnamon Cookie Buttons
Submitted by JeBas on Fri, 10/31/2008 - 10:00.I'm really beginning to like Ian's company. They have provided the widest range of gluten free children's food on the market. The latest item that I've run across is individually packaged mini cookies. They're the perfect size to place into a school lunch box, and they look like the cookies that all of the other kids have.
They taste exactly as they are described. They're crunchy, little cookie with the strong taste of cinnamon. They have the crisp little snap associated with a ginger snap, and they make an excellent snack.
This is definitely a good buy.
