American Soy Products

When I saw Vruit on the shelves, I really had high hopes for this product. They were the larger 8 oz. juice boxes that I could put into my daughter's school lunch, and each flavor was a mixture of fruit and vegetable juices, and the few that I tried were really yummy. I had high hopes until I did the research.

The packaging itself warns that the products are manufactured in a facility that also processes milk, soy, corn, and wheat. So I then contacted American Soy Products, Inc. to ask about their manufacturing processes for Vruit. They were very polite and responded quickly to my questions. Unfortunately I also learned that some of the natural flavoring that they use are made with a wheat based alcohol.

Sadly, I cannot recommend buying Vruit. Though the amount of gluten in the drink is probably extremely small, it could affect someone with an extreme sensitivity. I'm not buying this again.
