enGluten Free Cookies - Bob's Red Mill Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix
http://glutenfree.jebas.us/gluten-free-cookies-bobs-red-mill-chocolate-chip-cookie-mix

Yesterday, my oldest daughter comes bounding down the stairs saying, “You're not going to believe this. Mommy making fudge for dinner, and chocolate chip cookies for dessert.” Being the only male in a house of various aged women, I knew better than to get in the way of their chocolate. So today's review is about Bob's Red Mill Gluten Free Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix.

Normally I would do the cooking, but for this special meal she did. She told me that she had no problem with following the instructions on the bag, but she did have to add some additional butter. The instructions stated that the cookie dough should clump together, and it wasn't until the extra butter was added.

Now she did have one complaint about this gluten free cookie mix. The raw dough tasted awful. She liked the cookies once they were baked, but she's a long time cookie dough eater. To her, the taste of the cookie dough needed to be included in this review.

Now the finished cookies were extremely rich and tasty. Though it doesn't have the chewiness, it is the closest I've tasted to a gluten free Nestle's Toll House Cookie. The texture was a little gritty, but this seems normal for most gluten free cookies.

If I don't buy these again, I'll have three women mad at me.

As I have stated before, if my oldest daughter had her way, this website would contain a lot more reviews about cookies. Well, I do have to give in every once in a while, so today's review is Glutino's cream sandwich cookies called Vanilla Dreams.

Firstly, these make excellent school snacks. Inside the box is several smaller packages. Each package contains two cookies. This make these gluten free cookies excellent additions to school lunches.

I liked the taste and texture of these cookies as well. The cookie portion is stiffer than an OREO, but still has a good bite. However, unlike an OREO, I don't recommend eating the filling separately. The filling is overly sweet by itself, and cookie is dry, crumbly, and powdery. However when combined, the vanilla cream and hard cookie make an excellent snack.

When serving these gluten free cookies, I really recommend having a glass of milk handy. Even with the cream filling, these Glutino cookies are a bit dry. You will want something to drink with them.

My daughter is already asking for me to buy more of these.

Almost all seven year-olds love cookies. If I let my daughter do the picking, this site would be completely about cookies, candies, and cakes. Pamela's Products' Chocolate Walnut Biscotti was one of the choices that I let her have.

So far, I have liked all of the Pamela's Products that I have tried. This was no exception. American biscotti is suppose to be a hard dry cookie that is baked twice. The first baking cooks the ingredients, and the second baking drys the cookie out while toasting it. Achieving this texture is one occasion where gluten free ingredients have the advantage over wheat.

My daughter loved these because she is a big fan of chocolate. When I tried one, it had a lot of flavor. And like a biscotti, it had a hard bite. I also like that the cookies were individually wrapped. This made it easy to add to my child's lunch box as a snack.

She wants me to buy more of these.

http://glutenfree.jebas.us/gluten-free-cookies-enjoy-lifes-soft-baked-chewy-chocolate-chip

It's obviously getting into November because all of the cookies are coming out of the wood work. My oldest daughter has been extremely happy to point out all of the new cookies that are now available. This week at her insistence, we chose Enjoy Life's Chewy Chocolate Chips Cookies.

Now I'll start with Charlotte's review. She said, "we should get more." Frankly, I can't argue with her. Most gluten free, chewy cookies that I have tried had a horrible chew. After chewing them a little bit, they seem to either dissolve into a slick plaster that coats your mouth, or become sandy little pellets that scratch your tongue. Enjoy Life's Chewy Chocolate Chips almost escapes that problem. There is a little grittiness to the cookie chew, but it is no worst that a gluten based chewy cookie that has been allowed to dry out for a while.

Though I will give them high praises for the texture of the cookie, I'll have to deduct points for the taste. To me, this tasted more like a spice cookie than a chocolate chip. I had to double check the box to make sure that I was reviewing the right product. Now there is a chocolate taste to the cookie, but it is very weak and mild. If you're looking for a Nestle Toll-house replacement, this isn't it, but this is a good cookie. I enjoyed the taste, and I think the included chocolate chips made the cookie a more enjoyable chew.

I would purchase these again.

http://glutenfree.jebas.us/gluten-free-cookies-ians-chocolate-chip-cookie-buttons

I know that I reviewed Ian's cinnamon cookie buttons last Friday, but these are also really good. They don't have the harsh bite of the cinnamon, and they have chocolate chips. It has been difficult keeping my hands out of these cookies, so the kids have them.

The chocolate chip cookies have the same texture as the cinnamon buttons. This are a small crisp cookie, and comes in an individually wrapped pouch. It is easy to throw them into the lunch box or use as an after school snack.

This is something I would buy again, for myself.

http://glutenfree.jebas.us/review-gluten-free-cookies-ians-wheat-free-gluten-free-crunchy-cinnamon-cookie-buttons

I'm really beginning to like Ian's company. They have provided the widest range of gluten free children's food on the market. The latest item that I've run across is individually packaged mini cookies. They're the perfect size to place into a school lunch box, and they look like the cookies that all of the other kids have.

They taste exactly as they are described. They're crunchy, little cookie with the strong taste of cinnamon. They have the crisp little snap associated with a ginger snap, and they make an excellent snack.

This is definitely a good buy.
