Like all parents, my wife and I are worried about what the kids will eat, and what they won't. Lately my oldest daughter will eat nothing but meat, and my wife was worried about lack of fiber in that diet. She then found, at a grocery store near us, Glutino's Fiber Bread.

The Fiber Bread is another one of Glutino's baked sandwich breads. Like most of the gluten free, baked, sandwich breads, it is half the height of regular sandwich bread. That means, when using a toaster, you have to put the bread slice in sideways. Otherwise, you will loose the slice in the toaster. The best way to avoid this problem is use a toaster oven.

Before I tried it toasted, I ate a slice right out of the bag, and I feel in love with it. We use to buy whole wheat and multi-grain sandwich breads before my wife and daughter knew they had a problem with wheat. This gluten free Fiber Bread had such a hearty taste and texture that I thought I was eating whole wheat bread again.

I was ready to make a turkey sandwich; however, the packaging recommended toasting the bread before serving. My recommendation is follow those directions. When you toast it, the flavor of the bread becomes ten times better. The bread also develops a nice crunch that is perfect for sandwiches.

My oldest daughter had the final say on whether to buy this gluten free bread again. She liked it, but couldn't tell me exactly why. It's now her favorite, so Fiber Bread will be bought again.

As I had stated in my last review, my wife had prepared a special dinner where brownies were for dinner and chocolate chip cookies were for dessert. Needless to say, it is been my girls' favorite meal this week. I've discussed the dessert, so now it is time to get into the main course: The Gluten Free Pantry's Chocolate Brownie Mix Delights.

My wife didn't have any problems following the directions for this brownie mix. In fact, she made a double batch that evening. Her excuse was that she was using a pan that was to big for a single batch. But unlike the cookies, she did not have to alter the recipe.

Now the taste of these brownies were a complete hit. If you weren't told, you would never know these were gluten free. The were soft and chewy except at the edges of the pan where they gained a little bit of a crunch, just like a wheat based brownie. There was also the strong taste of chocolate that simply coated your mouth. It was wonderful.

Like the cookies, if I don't but this gluten free brownie mix from The Gluten Free Pantry, I'm going to be in deep trouble. This mix must be bought again.

As I have stated before, if my oldest daughter had her way, this website would contain a lot more reviews about cookies. Well, I do have to give in every once in a while, so today's review is Glutino's cream sandwich cookies called Vanilla Dreams.

Firstly, these make excellent school snacks. Inside the box is several smaller packages. Each package contains two cookies. This make these gluten free cookies excellent additions to school lunches.

I liked the taste and texture of these cookies as well. The cookie portion is stiffer than an OREO, but still has a good bite. However, unlike an OREO, I don't recommend eating the filling separately. The filling is overly sweet by itself, and cookie is dry, crumbly, and powdery. However when combined, the vanilla cream and hard cookie make an excellent snack.

When serving these gluten free cookies, I really recommend having a glass of milk handy. Even with the cream filling, these Glutino cookies are a bit dry. You will want something to drink with them.

My daughter is already asking for me to buy more of these.

http://glutenfree.jebas.us/gluten-free-cereal-glutino-honey-nut

I have to admit that during the week days, it is often difficult to make breakfast. At the same time, I have to get two little girls out of bed, prepare two school lunches, and get them dressed before I drive them to school. I appreciate any short cut that I can find, and gluten free cold cereal helps.

Today's product is Glutino's Honey Nut Cereal. Now if you look at the packaging, you might think that this was a gluten free version of Cherrios, but it is not. This is a lighter corn cereal with similarities to Cap'n Crunch.

Eaten dry, this cereal has the very strong flavors of honey and nut. It has a nice light crunch, and I wouldn't mind using it as a popcorn replacement while watching a movie. However, when milk is added, the strong honey and nut flavors get washed away. It's still a good cereal, but the flavors are not as strong.

I liked this cereal, and would purchase it again.

http://glutenfree.jebas.us/gluten-free-crackers-glutino-gluten-free-cheddar-crackers-review

One of the problems that many gluten intolerant people have is the lack of a good party cracker. They need something that is sturdy enough to hold up to a cheese spread, but still have a descent taste and texture. Glutino's crackers could just be that party cracker.

The cheddar crackers are a round, two inch disc that could easily hold about any spread. It looks very similar to a Ritz; however, unlike a Ritz or Town House cracker, the cracker is very dense and difficult to break. This will give it an advantage on spreading something over it like a cheese ball.

The taste is very similar to other rice, with a light hint of cheddar in the background. You do taste the cheddar, and the taste becomes strong with each additional cracker that you eat. To me this is an advantage. You will be able to use a wider variety of toppings that the cheddar flavor will enhance instead of over power.

It's a good serviceable cracker that works well plain or with toppings. I would buy this again.
